Daughters of Israel residents can take advantage of our on-site coffee shop, gift shop, beauty salon, barber shop and thrift shop. We also have an on-site dentist’s office as well as audiology and podiatry services. Our spacious dining rooms, auditorium, lounges and outdoor patio areas offer a nice arrange of options for socializing or for a change of scenery.
At Daughters of Israel, we provide a diverse and stimulating range of social, cultural and educational activities. From art classes and current events groups, to music appreciation and horticulture, to Wii Bowling and chair yoga, our residents can easily find activities they enjoy. We also have special programming such as resident/staff talent shows, school visits, pet therapy, art exhibitions, musical and dance performances, summer garden parties and celebrations for New Year’s Eve, Thanksgiving and other holidays. For those residents who are physically capable, we transport our residents on outings such as summer trips to the beach, baseball games and even excursions to local restaurants.
Daughters of Israel offers a nice array of Jewish religious and cultural programming for those of all backgrounds. We have a beautifully appointed on-site synagogue and full-time rabbi, who holds weekday and Shabbat services, and on Fridays holds a special “Shabbos Simcha” program. The Home observes all Jewish holidays and coordinates special activities and programming around the holidays.
