Senior Wellness Expo

Daughters of Israel Plafsky Family Campus is holding its first “Senior Wellness Expo” on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, 1-4 p.m., at the Cooperman Family Building, 1155 Pleasant Valley Way in West Orange, N.J. The event is free of admission and includes light refreshments. In addition, free local transportation to qualified individuals will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis, with advance reservations required.

The event will feature the most innovative products and services in healthcare, and the latest information pertaining to the 50+ population and their caregivers. Senior Wellness Expo will feature a Hearing Pavilion, Podiatry Center, live demonstrations of Tai-Chi and Reiki, and free massages. There will also be information on Advance Directives, Disease Management, Geriatric Depression, Long-Term Care, and a plethora of other topics. Other event highlights include free product samples, door giveaways and live entertainment.

“As a leading provider of senior care services in the area, with comprehensive facilities ranging from long-term and adult medical day care, to sub-acute rehab and Alzheimer’s care, Daughters of Israel has a responsibility to provide the community-at-large with the tools to make both short- and long-term health-related decisions,” according to Susan Grosser, Executive Director, Daughters of Israel Plafsky Family Campus. “The more information we empower the community with, the more informed their decisions will be, insuring the highest quality care for themselves and their loved ones.”
